Now it's easy to get the same legendary quality of a Little Giant aluminum ladder in a nonconductive fiberglass model.

The Little Giant Fiberglass Type 1A features nonconductive fiberglass side rails, so it's perfect for electrical contractors. And thanks to an all-new solid hinge design, the Little Giant Fiberglass Type 1A is the strongest, most technically advanced fiberglass ladder on the market today.

The Little Giant is designed to be the safest ladder on the planet. Since it's adjustable, the Little Giant can be used safely on stairs, ramps, curbs, docks or other uneven surfaces.

And because it's constructed of nonconductive fiberglass resin, the Little Giant Fiberglass Type 1A is perfect for working safely around electricity.

The Little Giant Fiberglass Type 1A is made of a patented fiberglass resin. So it's both stronger and lighter than traditional fiberglass ladders.

In fact, The Little Giant Fiberglass Type 1A is stress rated for industrial use, with a 300 pound government rating.

No other ladder gives you the versatility of a Little Giant. Independent tests prove the Little Giant will replace 60-70% of all portable ladders currently being manufactured.

Little Giant Configurations:

A-Frame Ladder
With a simple click of the patented hinge, the Little Giant can be used as a traditional A-Frame ladder.

Staircase Ladder
Because it's adjustable in one-foot increments, the Little Giant allows one side of the ladder to be extended allowing safe use on uneven surfaces like staircases, curbs or docks.

90 degree Ladder
Traditional ladders make working close to walls nearly impossible. With the Little Giant, one adjustment allows you to safely work against any vertical surface.

Extension Ladder
For large projects the Little Giant easily converts to a stable extension ladder allowing you to reach rooftops, tree limbs and more with ease.

Since the Little Giant pulls apart to form two scaffold trestles, you just add the Little Giant work plank (sold separately) to form a convenient scaffolding system.

Customer Reviews

  • very very expensive, but with gas at $3-$4/ gallon it has paid for itself Review by Satchmoeddie
I used to drive a service van with 2 6" 1 or 2 *' 1-10" 1-12" and an extension ladder all packed on top. This was fine for a two man crew. The van was a 3/4 or 1 ton V* powered gas guzzler. In 2003 I was injured to the point I cannot work anymore. A friend started a 1 man shop. We opted for this ladder. For a simple job this fits in a Toyota Prius. With the van I would refuel every other day. With the Prius he is refueling once a week or less. No more huge stack of ladders plus 6 footers inside the van. These also get locked securely atop the van and truck(s). They are way nicer than that trash some companies made us use. My wooden 350 pound super heavy duty wood ladders were $300 each new. The little giant is a hefty investment, but to go do a routine inspection, assessment, or estimate, these are tops. I am sure we have saved every penny we spent in gasoline. I need a flashlight some simple tools, pen and paper. That does not require a van or truck with the little giant. I am 90% retired from ladder work now, but when some unique job pops up, off I go to check it out. The ladder works 95% of the time for my needs. When it doesn't a scissors lift or other piece of equipment is usually on site. These also seem to stand up to the Arizona sun better than orange or yellow fiberglass ladders. Even with my blown out knees, and crushed right leg this ladder is easy on my body. AWESOME! PRICEY, BUT AWESOME! Since were are electricians it has to be fiberglass. The aluminum ladders are great too! (just not for us)

I've had a little giant ladder aluminum for twenty years. It's well built and versatile. Last years I bought the 22' fiberglass ladder, what a great ladder! The only thing missing is a leg leveler.

I've been using my Little Giant fiberglass for eight years. I can get most places on any house here in West Virginia. I've used it to hold walk planks, house jacks, timber beams, etc. . It's the one ladder that I take when I go. Thanks for a great product....

It is overall exactly what I need for my job as a satelite installation tech. The safety of the non-conductive fiberglass and its versitility make it ideal. I am wondering about the aluminum plates that accompany the ladder system.
  • The Only Ladder We Will Use! Review by Steven Brenner
I own a media company that designs and installs high end home theater and sound systems. We will not go out on a job without our Little Giant ladder system. It has helped us with many otherwise impossible installations. I always feel secure using the Little Giant. Our customers always marvel at how adaptable our Little Giant is! We have probably sold a few, as our customers are so impressed with the safety and flexibility of the Little Giant. Thank you for building a great tool.

One of the most reliable and sturdy ladders I've ever used. I an electrical contractor in NY and the differentt ladder applications Little Giant offers are tested everyday. I've been an electrician for over for over 22 years. When you enter a job with a Little Giant. You have confidence that you have the right to ladder for the right job. In NY there are many types of buildings and so many hard to reach locations. The TYPE 1A Fiberglass is an electricians dream. Because It's fiberglass, you have added protection against accidental contact with live electrical wires. I have had the TYPE 1A Fiberglass MODEL 22 for several years and I'm so impressed. I am going to purchase the TYPE 1A Fiberglass MODEL 17.

  • William Hassell Review by William Hassell
I have been using a Little Giant for about 20 years. I moved up to the Fiberglass 22 in January. As a window coverings installer, I find that this ladder is without equal in giving me safe access to a some challenging locations that I encounter. I tell the fellows that I don't leave home without it. I have always been truly impressed by the Little Giant System and find myself doing "commercials" when folks marvel at what it can do for me.
  • Peekskill, NY Review by Peter Martin
We use this ladder for site inspections and getting into hard to reach locations. I cannot remember ever using such a well built and versatile ladder. As electrical engineers we often inspect areas with live voltage and at substantial hieghts, this ladder is safe and secure not to mention fool proof to operate. We are very happy with this ladder and would recommend it to any one looking for a quality ladder with flexible applications. We replaced four step ladders with this single ladder.
